We got in touch with bird expert Drin and she was kind enough to share some of her thoughts and experiences with our little avian friends. Naturally, we wanted to hear why she decided to call herself a “bird-nerd.”

“Bird nerdiness must have a genetic component because I come from a long line of bird admirers. I spent a lot of time at my grandparents’ houses growing up and I can still hear my Grandpa’s voice excitedly calling out the name of every bird species that landed on the feeders that were hanging right outside the kitchen window. So close we could almost touch them.”
